Great people, wrong structure. Let’s prevent your growth from stalling

Companies engage Think & Grow for Organisational Design because…

They’ve hired fast and grown, but the wheels are coming off with no clear owners, missed deadlines, and siloed teams
Their leadership team isn’t aligned to roles, objectives, and ownership
They know the structure that got them here won’t get them to the next stage of growth
They’re launching into a new market with no clear local leadership model or in-market structure
A raise, merger or restructure means the org needs redesigning around where the business is going
People are being hired into roles that don’t really exist yet — while the roles that matter don’t exist at all
Think & Grow ensured we got the right skill sets and culture fit. We’re very happy with the work they did and the approach they took.

About service

What is Organisational Design?

Organisational design turns your growth strategy into the team and structure that will deliver it. We assess how your organisation really works today, including specific roles, reporting lines, strengths and skillsets. Followed by recommendations on how it needs to evolve for the future.

We’re operators who’ve built and scaled teams like yours, so we design for how growth really behaves, sharing the honest, outside read most teams can’t give themselves. And because it sits inside our Growth Stack, the structure connects to your GTM and growth strategies, and the executive search that fills the roles it surfaces.

What you get with Organisational Design

A working organisational design and team structure, built end-to-end by operators. Depending on your stage, and whether you’re scaling the team or entering a market, it’s built from a menu of components:

Current-state assessment & stakeholder interviews
Capability & gap analysis
Future-state org structure
Decision rights & RACI
Role definitions & responsibility matrices
Span-of-control & reporting design
GTM function design (sales, marketing, CS, partnerships)
Critical-hire identification & role scorecards
Local / in-market leadership model
Local / in-market leadership model
Change & implementation plan (90-day transition)

Case studies

Structure to scale without breaking

We redesigned how the teams were set and worked together, then placed the two leadership roles the structure needed to scale.

A structure for the combined team

We ran a capability review across the merged technology teams, then built the organisational design off the findings.

Future-proof the org for scale

We aligned the founders and board on the future-state org, then defined and placed the commercial C-suite to build the new structure required.

A board-ready org ahead of a raise

An independent assessment of the full executive team (an ELT 360) and design of the org created a board-ready leadership roadmap.

Operator-led expertise

Our team hasn’t just studied growth, they’ve done it.

We’re operators who’ve built and scaled these teams ourselves through the messy middle, where growth exposes every structural crack and challenge, so we design for how a scaling company needs to behave to get results.

And because Organisational Design sits inside our full Growth Stack, a Capability Review exposes the gaps, and Executive Search fills the critical roles, so the org can get built out by us, not just drawn up.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Organisational design is the work of structuring a company, including roles, reporting lines, decision rights and capability so it can execute its strategy and scale. Done well it’s a working operating model with an implementation plan, not just an org chart.

When you’re scaling and the structure that got you here is straining; when you’re launching into a new market and need a local leadership model; or after a raise, merger or restructure, when the org has to be rebuilt around where the business is going.

It shifts from “how should we structure the team we have” to “what team and local leadership do we need to win here”. The in-market roles, the reporting line back to HQ, and the sequence of hires that matches your go-to-market. We design it as part of the GTM plan, not after it.

A current-state assessment (including stakeholder interviews), a future-state structure with decision rights and RACI, role definitions, a critical-hire and in-market leadership plan, and a change plan with a 90-day transition and success metrics.

A consultancy usually will draw up an org structure and hierarchy, and leaves you to get on with building it. Many don’t even have the experience and knowledge of how to do this for international expansion. We’re operators who’ve built these teams, the design is tied to your GTM and growth strategy, and it connects to the capability review and executive search that turn the diagram into a working org. We’re with you every step of the way.

Organisational design surfaces the critical roles your structure needs; our Executive Search team then defines and places them, so the plan and the people arrive together and don't waste any precious time or investment.

Book a call. We’ll talk through where the structure is straining, or the market you’re entering, and scope the right piece of work.
